Mara is a CLARB certified landscape architect and WEDG Associate registered in Florida with a Masters in Landscape Architecture and Environmental + Urban Design from Florida International University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Northeastern University. She specializes in Florida native and Florida Friendly landscape design, hospitality and public space design, waterfront edge design, low-impact development strategies, master planning, graphic rendering and visual storytelling.  Mara's work comes together in presentations that bring projects to life and communicate value through dynamic visualizations. Mara's background in high-end residential, commercial, and hospitality design merged with her experience designing with native ecology in mind enable her to execute beautiful and effective outdoor living spaces for clients at any budget. In each of her projects, Mara strives to implement Florida-Friendly and low-impact development practices and maximize landscape performance through nature-based solutions. Mara's approach to design and land development is informed by a thorough analysis, understanding and appreciation of tropical and subtropical regional issues including stormwater management, urban heat islands, sea level rise, ecosystem degradation and migration, along with the many other unique conditions, challenges, and opportunities affecting Florida's landscape.
