Civil Engineer – Land Development

WRA Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Tampa Bay team. This position will focus primarily on the design and permitting of site development and land development projects throughout the Tampa Bay area.

We are looking for an engineer with strong technical and design skills who is comfortable working directly in AutoCAD Civil 3D and wants to be involved in projects from initial design through permitting and construction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil construction plans for residential, commercial, mixed-use, and other land development projects.

• Perform site grading, drainage, stormwater, utility, paving, and roadway design.

• Design potable water, sanitary sewer, reclaimed water, and stormwater systems.

• Prepare drainage calculations and assist with stormwater modeling and pond design.

• Prepare and coordinate permit applications with local and state agencies.

• Respond to agency review comments and revise plans through approval.

• Coordinate with project managers, surveyors, architects, landscape architects, environmental consultants, and contractors.

• Provide engineering support during construction as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

• Land development/site development experience preferred.

• AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency is required.

• Experience with grading, drainage, utilities, and construction plan preparation.

• Familiarity with permitting requirements in the Tampa Bay area and Florida is preferred.

• ICPR4 and/or StormWise experience is a strong plus.

• EIT certification preferred.

• Florida P.E. license is a plus but not required.

• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
